St Petrock’s Care Packages

Dear Pupils

I am writing on behalf of all at St Petrock’s to thank you very much for the lovely care packages and the beautiful handmade cards that you made for the homeless people who use our centre. We have made a display of some of the wonderful cards you to brighten up our centre, and put the others nearby for people to take away with them so they can enjoy the messages. (I have attached some photos of the display). It was very kind of you to want to help local people do not have a home of their own, and to put so much effort into the project. Thank you very much for your thoughtfulness and all your hard work!

Your kind donations will be used to support our drop-in emergency, support and referral services in St Petrock’s centre. Our centre is open in Exeter each weekday from 8am; people who are homeless can come in for showers, laundry facilities, clothing and healthcare, as well as hot drinks, cooked breakfasts and lunches served by our centre kitchen. Homeless people can also get haircuts, have their feet looked after and see a mental health specialist here in our centre too. Our staff team then help people find housing, healthcare and any other support they may need. We have seen the number of individuals in need of these services increase over the last year; we now typically see between 55 and 80 people a day.

Thank you again for the part you have played in making life better for people without a home.

Best wishes
