Leisure activities

As we find ourselves in Lockdown, with the weather not always on our side, we thought it may be helpful to share with you the benefits that participating in a range of different leisure activities can bring. Although home schooling activities are very important, is not always possible to spend the whole day doing them. We want to reassure you that other activities also support your child’s development.

It may be helpful to choose 2 or 3 activities per day and try to encourage your child to join in with these. The activities will bring a variety of benefits and enhance their physical, cognitive, social and sensory development in a relaxed and informal manner. Examples include: going for a walk, playing board games, playing computer games, helping with household chores and arts and crafts activities

Doing play and leisure activities is time well spent and never a waste of time!

Open the pages below to find out some of the main benefits of each activity. For more information, follow the URL links at the bottom of each page.

For more information about staying safe online check out the school’s advice on the webpage.
