4th June 2020
Dear Parents and Carers
We hope this message finds you and your families well. This will be a short update on the school’s position to keep you informed of developments since our last message of the 22nd May.
You will all be aware that most mainstream schools have, since June 1st, been open to an increased number of children. Over the last week, the school’s leadership team and governing body have been working on our new policies, procedures and risk assessments, with a view to being able to increase our on-site offer to accommodate more pupils as from June 15th.
This preparation work, including staff training, will continue next week and wider opening of the school will only take place if it safe to do so. Pupil and staff safety comes first, and is at the forefront of all our decision making.
Over the next week, during your phone calls and/ or emails with your staff contact member, we will continue to discuss your family circumstances with you, and how we can work together to continue to support you and your child, whether that be in school or through our remote learning offer.
Please be aware that we will not be able to offer on site schooling for all pupils. Places are limited and the vast majority of children will not be returning to school until September. We will continue to prioritise our most vulnerable pupils, and those children of key workers for school places.
If you have a concern of a safeguarding nature relating to your child or any other child, please call the school emergency contact on 07535 499 968.
