30th June 2016
On Thursday 30th June, Neil Heasmann, from RAMM in Exeter, visited school. All Year 9 children took part in activities and workshops, where they could experience life during World War 2. In English we have been learning about the story of 'Goodnight Mr Tom' and what life was like being an evacuee. Pupils tried on clothes, took part in drama activities, sang war time songs with the gramophone and had to pretend they were in a gas bomb attack; with only 10 seconds to get their mask on! The children were brilliantly behaved and so enthusiastic and Neil commented on how fantastic their participation levels were! We had a thoroughly enjoyable morning - please enjoy the photos of us in action!
