Wildlife Champions Conference 2014

A mixture of years 8 and 9 pupils took part in the Devon Wildlife Trust’s Wildlife Champions Network conference this week. We went to St James high school to find out how we can improve our environment and make it a better place for wildlife in it. First up was an informative lecture from Rupert Goddard of the organisation Buglife, who told us all about bees and how we can help them to survive. We were then entertained by a speaker from the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth who helped us to learn about how we can make changes in school to help sea creatures around the Devon coast. We have been inspired to make a ten point action plan to help Devon’s wildlife – watch this space for news of our initiatives.
