14 pupils and 8 staff travelled to Okehampton Army Camp on Friday to take part in the Ten Tors Jubilee challenge. After registering and having our kit checked, we enjoyed a nice evening around camp.
During the night the weather came in very bad with heavy rain and wind all night. Three of our tents were destroyed and we didn't manage to get much sleep.
However when the Army woke us up at 5 a.m. all the pupils were quickly ready for the challenge ahead. We were joined by two additional staff for the walk and one to help take down the tents.
The weather did not get any better and we were battered by wind and rain all day. However all the pupils made it around which was a brilliant achievement.
Well done to all the pupils and thank you to all the staff who gave up so much of their time to support the pupils in training and at the event.
