27 children and 7 staff attended a residential trip to Slapton this year. We took part in a range of activities run by staff from The Field Studies Council who not only own the centre that we stayed in but also generously subsidised out trip with a £3000 grant. We took part in activities on the beach, on the nature reserve and in the woods and learnt about the history and ecology of the area. We also spent the evenings in the locality studying bats and wildlife and even managed to catch field mice in special humane traps. The Staff were amazing and the food cooked for us was fantastic. I’d like to say a very big thank you to all the children that attended for their excellent behaviour and also to the staff for their hard work over the whole week.
