Southbrook School is awarded £10,000 to develop enterprise and employability skills
Last week Southbrook School was awarded £10,000 from the Devon County Council’s Enterprise in School’s Award. This money will be used to develop the allotment and allow us to grow and market produce and develop enterprise and business skills. We will be working alongside St Loye’s and Riverford Farm to set up various enterprise initiatives and also develop a Southbrook Veg Box Scheme. This is really exciting and an excellent opportunity to get our pupils prepared for life beyond Southbrook. We have already put in an order for a new polytunnel and a fantastic new greenhouse and fruit cage system. Watch this space for furture developments and enterprise opportunities.
