8th September 2016

On Tuesday 13th September we will be celebrating 100 years since the birth of famous children’s author, Roald Dahl. Pupils will experience a phizz-whizzing themed curriculum in the morning during normal lessons. Then in the afternoon, we are holding a gloriumptious community reading event with local role models reading stories. The aim is to share our love of reading and develop positive relationships with members of our community.

To make the day as exciting as possible we are hoping that everyone will dress up as a famous Roald Dahl character or wear yellow, his favourite colour. For slendiferous costume ideas visit A donation of £1 will go to Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity which supports seriously ill children and special nurses. We really hope you will support this event and if you have any questions please contact Sophie, the librarian.
