Testing crisps for energy content
Many of our foods contain vegetable oils. Vegetable oils are high in energy so adding them to our foods or cooking with them can potentially increase our intake of fats which if unregulated could cause health problems.
Yr. 11 are investigating the energy given off by brands of crisps, each with a different fat content. They will use their practical and scientific thinking skills to try and determine which crisps have the highest and lowest fat content.
