Southbrook Reading Challenge – 25 books reward

On Friday 19th June Lewis and George visited ISCA College library to celebrate reading 25 books for the Southbrook Reading Challenge. Whilst there, we met Sarah the Librarian who gave us a tour. It was interesting exploring a bigger library, and the boys had the opportunity to read and borrow some of the ISCA library books.
Southbrook Reading Challenge – 50 books reward

On Tuesday 30th June Lewis and George visited Exeter Central Library to celebrate reading 50 books for the Southbrook Reading Challenge. We met Jo who showed us around the newly refurbished library and FABLAB. We explored the children’s and teen areas where there is a PlayStation 4. Also she told us about the library’s Raspberry Pi, which you can use to design and make your own video games. In the FABLAB we were able to have a look at the 3D printers and laser machines; it was fascinating discovering what computers can make. Afterwards Jo took us behind the scenes to find out more about how the library operates and she told us about the library book sculpture which lights up, but no one knows where the light switches are!
