L2W Celebration 2014

16th May 2014

L2W Celebration 2014
Centre for Creative Industries (CCI), Exeter College
Queen Street, Exeter

Thursday 15th May 6.30 for 7pm

Pupils and their families attended this special evening which celebrates the achievements pupils have made over the past year.

This year we have 5 pupils who attend various L2W courses they are:

  James Brimble – Automotive skills

Katie Greenhalgh – Hair @the Academy

Faith Howitt – Hair @the Academy

Lewis Maloney – Construction + Personal Development

  Brianey Skinner – Personal Development

Each pupil has been awarded a certificate for their attendance, participation and success in their particular L2W course.

Faith Howitt has also received the Year 10 Student of the Year award; she and her family were very pleased. This award reflects the hard work and progress that Faith has made over the past year and as Student of the Year she received a presentation gift.

The L2W course is part of the individual curriculum offer the school continues to invest in. The courses are aimed at all pupils from all the Exeter and East Devon schools and this gives Southbrook pupils the chance to interact socially, practically and academically with their peers. To see Southbrook pupils achieving and progressing is brilliant and just shows how determined to succeed they are.
