It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers attending this year’s Harvest Festival. I would like to say an extra special thank you to those unsuspecting adults that joined in with the festivities – they really helped make the assembly fun and interactive for the students. It was also great to have the local vicar, Louise Grace, telling a story about the importance of Harvest for Christians and to have John Barrett attend as our special guest. In school we made soup during Life Skills and Cooking lessons and we have given the soup to John so he can help feed the homeless through his charitable work. Overall, I think the students enjoyed the assembly and understood that Harvest is about sharing and that those of us who have plenty need to share with those that don’t have enough.
