12th December 2014
On Wednesday, a group of Year 10 and 11 students visited the new Mathematics school in Exeter.
We were given VIP treatment with our visit including 3 workshops. The students learnt about wind turbines and sustainable energy in the Physics lab, how to use a very sophisticated robotics program and finally the pupils investigated a formula to work out the number of edges of a 3D shape.
The pupils showed interest and engagement; answering some really tricky questions(!) and kept going even when it got tough.
The Staff at the Mathematics school were enthusiastic and helpful. We had a very productive trip, we hope we can visit again!
