Southbrook’s Revolting Panto ‘Rhyme’

Key Stage Three and the Southbrook choir proudly presented their Christmas Production to family and friends on the 18th of December, rounding off a busy term for our Expressive Arts students. There was a jam packed hall for Southbrook’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes; a show bursting at the seams with catchy songs and amazing dance routines!

The panto was a clever ‘mash up’ of Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs. Our adaptation brought the fairytales bang up to date with modern twists such as street gangs of terrifying wolves, wheeler dealer pigs and there was no sign of a riding hood or basket for our leading lady!

EVERY child in Key Stage 3 participated in the show with 80 pupils taking a bow for the finale! There was with a roof raising reaction from the audience – not to mention a few watery eyes and lots of goose bumps!

We can’t wait for next year!!!
